Luster of Love

You forgot to love me,
and my heart was sore.
I’m still thinking of you,
but I’m not falling for.

Insanity was creeping near,
and I had to free my soul.
Now I’m sitting lonely here,
looking sterile, like a doll.

Small, articulated limbs,
and empty, crystal eyes.
Every day the luster dims,
cause all I heard were lies.

Nonchalant, you hurt me!
There is no more to say!
I cried, and begged, and pleaded…
Now, I refused to stay!

I’m taking back my heart,
but that’s not what’s wrong!
We need this time apart,
because… we don’t belong.

And I want to set you free,
so I can heal in time.
Cause you forgot to love me…
…and I forgot to shine!
